Lubberland II - Exhibition Catalogue

This exhibition catalogue designed for artist Luanne Martineau would not be relevant or appropriate if it did not include a tactile component within the design solution. The artist herself employs outmoded means of production to create hand labor-intensive works. The catalogue supports this with a knitted wrap produced in the sixteen different colourways used in the artist’s knitted works. The ‘Mactac’ adhered cover completes this homage to a 1970’s aesthetic. The hand made elements within this catalogue make this unique and collectable and allow the purchaser to take a piece of the show home with them. They also give the final product visual weight by turning the catalogue into a sculptural object.

The exhibition was first shown at the Medicine Hat Museum & Art Gallery (now the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre).
